Neighbour’s better than that as she doesn’t have Jimmy Hill’s chin

Are you suggesting that this new bike of his is no more real than the fantasy hot neighbour he's been telling us about?

Readie - have you ever posted a photo of this bike? I can't see one at first glance, and nor can I remember.

I suppose I could write about my thoughts on my next door neighbour but that would stray into dubious legal territory so I best keep it to my desire to ride motorcycles...

I dressed for a winter ride; long sleeved cotton top, thick sooks, new Sidi waterproof boots, leathers, oversuit, neck guard, vented race gloves and was sweating after the short walk to get the bike out. The road was dry with a damp surface the nearer I got to Bath as it was cloudier and higher humidity but I did it in just over an hour (58 mins previous record during the summer on the old black Strumpet).

After I’d replaced the clutch and throttle cables and the steering bearings this was my first run out and it all felt lovely. The Z6 tyres I can not fault, only some minor squirming on damp verges when using the throttle reasonably hard just to see how they react on a cool road and the feedback and control is predictable and gives me a lot of confidence.

Had a coffee and a “green” smoothie in town - £7....

The ride back was equally swift and finished at the local jet wash to rinse off the shite. Dried and Wd40’d the bike and went out for an hours hill-ride on my peddly.

As it’s winter and 10 degrees and the climate and pollution is no concern of mine I’ll be out for a ride tomorrow as winter is forecast for a couple of days at the end of this month

In the dinner queue in the playground I found myself as arbiter between two much fatter kids arguing over who was fatter than the other “well, my head’s fat and my neck’s fat and my arms are fat and my body’s fat and my legs are fat but at least my feet ain’t fat” - I had to agree

He’s not built for running anywhere other than into the cake shop - don’t tell his dad I said that though
Every team has a Billy Bunter, it’s good for morale!
At least that’s what they always told me in school as they shared my box of cakes...

Probably hoping that the ball will come out at some point and he can run away from the forwards.
