ANPR speed cameras don't check for road tax btw.  ;)
DVLA regularly have roadside checks with ANPR cameras around here.

Plod sat roadside with ANPR does

A good weekend with the Suzuki. Both days I was in the shed at 8am and finished at 1pm. Everything has been stripped and checked against the manual.  Everything is clean, correctly lubricated and assembled. I am not happy with the modification made to the airbox so have ordered standard parts to rectify. Clutch lever assembly has been ordered (pattern £39 - Suzuki £144). I’ll strip and service the front brake next week and fit the hand guards. Then I cam go riding. First I need to find out where my off road trousers ate cos I’m not riding in my pants.

Lesson learned. With DVLA changing tax to online the SORN period from V5 registration has gone from that woolly month or two to a 28 day kick your doors in £55 fine you f :censored cker and now tax the bike or SORN it or we’ll come round and steal your children letter through the post. I paid the fine and taxed the Suzuki for a year £66

The shock is back in and all linkages torqued and suspension settings at standard. All other parts are clean so it's just reassembly now and should be complete next weekend  :)

Same place on my old XTZ

Good long stint in the shed and had everything disassembled and lubricated. Tomorrow it goes back together with rear brake to check next week

Probably a similar place then, guess it makes sense to tuck it away back there on half faired bikes. Think the Fazer does that too.

Makes sense, I can't think where the TDM one is now though, and totally stripped Kylie doing it's 'custom' job  :dontknow:

Did they hide it in the tail section or am I just going mad? The ZRX has it hidden in the tail side panels.
It’s just above the rear hugger on the 850
Can’t check my niner As it’s in a garage the other side of town

The shock is back. Bed now (like Xmas eve). I’ll be up early and in the shed at the Suzuki. Lovely...

Follow that thin black pipe from the filler cap on the rad and "thaaar she blows!"

Got some Suzuki goodies today; replacement chain & swingarm guard plastics, hand guards and a jersey. My pants (off roading not y-fronts) will be with me end of the month. The shock is with Revs Racing. This weekend it's more electrics and the rear brake check/service. I'm getting excited. Mustn't neglect the Strumpets service though and it needs a clean

I've never seen a modern road bike without one

The question is a trick though

A mate has a KTM450EXC which doesn't have one - an off road bike and I understand KTM engineer to win which means minimising excess components

The mate doesn't have a KTM manual (just Haynes... I dispair) and has had his water pump fail and is getting confused about that and expansion as he thinks it's sealed but realises it has a spring filler cap and spigot off of the neck which indicates total loss to me

I cannot think why any manufacturer would attempt to seal a motor against the pressure of the expansion as head gaskets and hoses would be blowing all over the place!

I don't recall the TDM having an expansion tank, if you can call that a modern bike.
