- possibly for fitting levers or brake lines (Zippy did HEL lines for me as a B.day  prezzie).

Sourced and installed  :teach

Maybe we took them off to get the levers on.... one of the bikes had different end weights though.
GS maybe?

Ah maybe that was it then.  Like I say I'm not sure as really like the look, and I do agree it's nice to have something to protect the levers etc.

Maybe I'll try the extenders to make them more effective first.

ET did you say you'd taken the hand guards off previously?

TBH I have almost always had them on.  After Mr Pidgeon on the TDM (flying out and hitting the front brake level mid corner at full speed I've always wanted something.

I seem to think I took them off for something, but not for riding - possibly for fitting levers or brake lines (Zippy did HEL lines for me as a B.day  prezzie).

I may be wrong, but I think it has different weight bar ends on to stock... because my tools were needed to get the old ones off as they needed some persuasion!

I may be getting bikes muddled up though.  :dontknow:

I was wondering whether to or not but wondered if you need to get some bar ends if you do?

I'm in two minds - I really like the look with them on, but in practice they offer little in the way of wind deflection and make the bike bloomin wide for filtering.

Undecided yet as I've seen some people put extenders (or make their own) to insert into them which still look good but give them a lot more wind protection.

If Zips can be there when you go upstairs - just in case you forget why you're up there....

Yah, That's what I thought. I bet the dogs eaten it.  :wife

You took it all out when Nog came to see the bike first time. We temporarily put it in a plant pot, then it started to rain so I took it all in and put it in a crate in the porch. Then the asda delivery man came, so I brought it upstairs and dumped it in the study....

That's where I last saw it anyway.
