They then got rebuilt with new rubber bits, and as I'd got a second set of rear brakes, I picked the best pistons. New bleed nipples and sliders etc. too, all put together with silicone grease in the right places.



Here's a reference photo for others pulling apart the rear brakes:



And then all fitted up with new discs (bells painted with zinc primer)), new goodridge braided lines and new pads etc.

Next up, rear brakes.

They got scrubbed with a variety of APC and citric acid to remove the corrosion.



I then let the surface flash over with corrosion so that it could be neutralised with some BH hydrate 80 rust converter. Then sprayed with some VHT metallic black, and then baked in the oven to cure properly.

Having previously for a while owning a secondhand Prodrive exhaust, I took note of which bits go rusty, and got carried away again and tried applying some VHT clear to the new Prodrive exhaust I got hold of, hopefully this will keep it nicer for a bit longer.
